Geena Williams created Black Self-Care Talk as an outlet to express herself when there was no other safe place to do so. We live in a world where the voices of Black Men and Black Women are continuously muted, and we are left to suffer in silence. Black Self-Care Talk is a place where we come together to pray, vent, cry, laugh, heal, learn, and get motivated. This is a safe place where we can just be and that is why we will continue to expand Black Self Care Talk with the hope of inspiring others that are in need but do not know where to start. We are striving to engage as many Black Men and Black Women in self-care as possible. Along the way, there have been many emails and messages from followers about how the daily posts have helped to keep them going. We want to continue being a part of helping people heal so we can all live happy and healthy lives.
